This is a further page within my sketchbook which shows another artist research. The inspirational artist here is Jonathan Darby. Jonathan's work initially attracked me because he looks at people and their lifestyles and goes onto involving things in his work pieces that are personal and unique to the particular individuals lifestyle, for example their language, which then becomes incorporated into the piece through being a part the background. A second reason which attracted me to Jonathan Darby's artwork is the techniques he uses to build up the backgrounds of his pieces, just like the the techniques I used for my Katie Degroot artwork, he also has crisp textures which he works on and uses similar colour pallets, i.e 'Earthy' colours... Brown, Beige, Orange, Green.
